Why Search Engine Crackers?
The original term of Search Engine Optimization has lost its meaning. In the late 1990s this term applied to the practice of submitting sites to search engines. Essentially, the search engine was being optimized for your site. Then the focus shifted to making the site better, in effect "optimizing" it for the search engine. This would be better called "Site Optimization." The idea of Search Engine Cracking is to find out how the search engines work and crack the "code" that associates concepts with websites. Also, we found it strange that nobody came up with the name in the past, since our team does tries to do it along with every other self-declared SEO expert in the country.
Advances
in Search Algorithms in Google, Yahoo, and MSN, plus tomorrow's mobile engines,
mean that it will get harder and harder to "trick" the search engines into a
good ranking. You need a hook, and an angle that make your site "sticky." Right
now, that is judged by link popularity, but that won't last forever. If you
learn anything from this site, we hope you come away with the idea that your own
websites must be creative, interesting, and add value to the customer
experience.
Notes and Special Information
Special note: in search engine optimization, the rules change every day, and sometimes twice. In the past, a Google update lasted months, but we have seen rankings shift on a daily basis. Therefore, a good site today is imperative despite any other factors, and the time to get started is now!.
